Danny Baker has confirmed that he is to revive his former BBC 5 Live show as a podcast – complete with the “Sausage Sandwich” game and other regular features.
Announcing the news on his popular @prodnose twitter account, Danny Baker confirmed that his stand alone podcast would be “featuring all the old firm and even the Sausage Sandwich Game.” The tweet also set 2020 as the launch date, saying that the podcast “…will begin in the new year.”
My own stand alone podcast, featuring all the old firm and even the Sausage Sandwich Game, will begin in the new year. Emails encouraged, calls taken, subjects bizarre. A twice a week meeting, we can rule the world. #CandyManReturns

Danny Baker was given the elbow from BBC 5 Live earlier this year following a controversial tweet in which he was accused of racism directed at Meghan Markle.
Baker denied the accusations, insisting that he regularly tweets images of chimps with witty or sarcastic comments.
Personally? Danny Baker’s break from the broadcasting limelight probably came at the right time for him, with his live tour continuing unabated. Now that the tour is coming to its conclusion, it will give Baker time to work on the show moving forward.
I do not expect that the return of the Danny Baker Show will remain a podcast only affair. I would expect it to be a logical target for talkRADIO. I’m absolutely certain that it will make it back to radio with someone.
Great news from Baker non-the-less.
